The entry requirements for The Rescue Company 1 FEMA US&R Response System Task Force Medical Specialist Course offer three distinct pathways, ensuring flexibility for aspiring participants. Eligibility is established through the completion of The Rescue Company 1 Wilderness Medical Technician Part 1 and 2, or for Paramedics holding the IBSC Wilderness Paramedic Certification. Alternatively, candidates may opt for the innovative hybrid option, a blend of 40 hours online and 30 hours in-person instruction.

For students entering via the IBSC or hybrid route, an additional requirement includes attendance at one of The Rescue Company 1 Advance Skills Classes.
